Dr Lyle qualified with first class honours from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in 1998.
Following basic surgical training and passing Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons exams, she trained as a radiology registrar on the Wessex training scheme, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiology qualification in 2005.
Dr Lyle is now an established Consultant Radiologist at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with specialist interests in Musculoskeletal, Head and Neck and Dental Radiology.
